Endwell, NY – On Monday, August 31st, 2026, Visions Federal Credit Union hosted their 2nd Annual Visions Veterans Classic golf tournament in collaboration with the Central New York Professional Golfers' Association and Syracuse University’s Office of Veteran and Military Affairs.
The original Visions Veterans Classic was first held in 2025 at the Binghamton Country Club to support CNY PGA and their PGA HOPE program, an initiative offering support services and community engagement for veterans and active military personnel through their no-cost golf program. Due to the inaugural tournament’s success, Visions expanded the event to Syracuse, involving their partner with a shared dedication to veterans and the larger military-connected community, Syracuse University’s OVMA.
This year, the 18-hole captain and crew golf tournament took place at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse, and paired veteran graduates of the PGA HOPE program with Visions golfers for a day of community building and comradery with the local veteran population. “It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to host this event again,” says Visions’ Events Coordinator Emily Vail. “Bringing together the community to show support for local veterans and their loved ones is among our top priorities – and being able to hold this event in such a unique and welcoming environment that’s been created by PGA HOPE and Syracuse University’s OVMA has been remarkable.”

Expanding the event’s impact to the Syracuse area has helped deepen the credit union’s connections with and understanding of Syracuse University and the greater Syracuse population. As the new full-service branch on Marshall St. in Syracuse, NY nears completion, Visions looks forward to serving the Syracuse community further – bringing more community-centered events to the area alongside their financial wellness services, tools, resources, and education.
