Endwell, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union recently debuted their new educational event directed towards young student-athletes aspiring to compete at a collegiate level, The NIL Playbook: Money, Branding, & Beyond on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Alliance Performance in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Speakers from Visions’ Financial Wellness team and experts within college athletics came together for an evening dedicated to helping student-athletes and their support networks better understand the evolving world of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).

As NIL opportunities continue to evolve and reshape college athletics, many athletes and their families, coaches, mentors, and athletic staff are treading unfamiliar water related to financial management, personal branding, contracts, taxes, and long-term planning. The goal of The NIL Playbook event is to provide practical, accessible education emphasizing responsible decision-making and financial wellness, while giving attendees the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions both on and off the field.

“Visions has sponsored college athletics for a long time now, and through our experience we came to realize just how critical it was to get NIL resources and education out to student-athletes before they reached college-level and started having to make these big decisions,” said Tim Strong, Visions’ Assistant Vice President for Branding and Community Impact. “The idea was to connect students and their supporters to industry experts and give them the opportunity to pass on knowledge and share their experience.”

Industry professionals who shared their experience and expertise at the event included:

  • Maggie Gray, event emcee, moderator, and 102.9 FM CBS Sports Radio co-host
  • Doug Fillis and Greg Nejmah of Accelerate Sports Ventures
  • AJ Calabro, Esq. of Milk & Honey Sports
  • Jeff Poulard, Associate Commissioner of Compliance and Governance/Social Impact
and Inclusion of the Big East Conference
  • Jimmy Cavallo, Athletic Director of Paramus Catholic High School
