Middletown, Pa. – Trish Shermot, Director of Governmental Affairs/Regional UrbanDevelopment Officer for Visions Federal Credit Union, will be stepping up as co-chair of the Global Women’s Leadership Network PA Sister Society.
Current co-chair, Lori Gall, announced she will be stepping down as an officer of the organization at the end of 2022, at which time her duties will pass to Shermot. “I’m excited to join this wonderful group of women and help lead the PA Sister Society as co-chair,” said Shermot. “Lori is leaving some big shoes for me to fill, but I’m ready to dive right in and keep moving this organization forward for the advancement of credit union women.”
In her role at Visions, Shermot works with industry leaders and state representatives as an advocate for the credit union movement. Gall said, “After seven years as co-chair of this wonderful organization that brings together women in the credit union movement, I’m ready to pass on the honor to another passionate female professional who will continue to strengthen our bonds.”
Gall helped found the PA Sister Society in 2015 alongside former co-chair Amey Sgrignoli and was later joined by Linda Brown after Sgrignoli resigned from her role in 2019. Gall left Shermot with these words of wisdom: “My journey with the PA Sister Society has been such an incredible experience, giving me the opportunity to build so many new relationships and perspectives. I hope you feel the same sense of fulfillment and joy from this role as I did – good luck!”
