Endwell, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union is excited to renew their partnership with Olympic Athlete Emily Mackay and while doing so reflect on the community impact and engagement events that they’ve partnered on following the announcement of their partnership in 2025.

Since April of 2025, Mackay has been a regular on Visions’ Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube reaching millions of people with her financial wellness wisdom. Alongside digital outreach, Visions has hosted many in-person experiences with Mackay as well, including a trip to the Southern Tier community center in Endicott – a place she frequented in her youth when it was the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome. There, she was able to interact with current students, signing their running shoes, taking pictures, and encouraging them all to keep dreaming big and to embrace failure as a learning opportunity. Visions also set up a “Run with Emily” fun run event at Binghamton’s Otsiningo Park North in November, attracting nearly 100 attendees across all different age groups to run with Emily.

“Partnering with Emily has really helped us connect to a younger demographic and reach them during developmental periods in their lives. This is a time when learning about finances and how to set goals is critical to their future success and wellbeing,” says Tim Strong, AVP of Branding & Community Impact.

At the same time she’s working with Visions, Mackay is also advancing her own brand as a professional runner, brand ambassador, and entrepreneur. This March after not only winning but shaving a whole 10 seconds off of the previous women’s 3000 meter record at the United States Track & Field Indoor Championships held in Staten Island, Mackay made her way to Poland to claim her first silver in the same event at the World Indoor Track & Field Championships. Now Mackay is back in the states planning her upcoming wedding, attending meetings with the organizations she’s collaborating with, and more than likely training for her next race.

“I feel so thankful to have such a great sponsor,” says Mackay. “Money connects to all our life choices. Especially in these careers that don’t follow a traditional path, financial stability can give you the freedom to pursue the things you’re most passionate about and help you feel more comfortable taking necessary risks along the way.”

Visions is similarly grateful to have such an inspiring and genuine partner as Emily Mackay and has much more they’d like to accomplish with their partnership, with future plans in discussion for other fundraising, community engagement, and financial wellness initiatives.
