Managing Director
Jeff Thatcher became the Managing Director of Visions Investment Services with the purpose of building a leading full-service relationship based financial planning division for all members to help provide them with financial strategies for important life and financial milestones. Prior to joining Visions Investment Services, Jeff spent the last 13 years managing the Financial Services department for Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. During his tenure at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union Jeff built and managed one of the top Financial Services programs nationwide, and in 2014 was named one of the top 50 program managers nationally by Bank Investment Consultant magazine*.
Jeff has the distinction of being a registered Financial Representative for more than 25 years. His extensive background in finance and a high quality of member service provides him with a comprehensive foundation that may benefit the members of Visions FCU.
Jeff has earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, which required completing a rigorous 2-year course and passing the national exam. CFP® professionals must meet the Financial Planners Standards Council standards in education, experience, examination and ethics. CFP® professionals must also have 30 hours of continuing education every year and agree to abide by the CFP® Code of Ethics to renew their right to use the credential annually.
Jeff is married with two children and two Labrador dogs named Buddy and Lucky. He is an active member in the community and currently volunteers and is a board member for two organizations.
