Positive change begins with little steps

There are heroes everywhere and they come in all sizes. We've been inspired by stories of those 12 and under who help care for their communities, and we decided it's time to spotlight these heroes and their efforts.

Introducing: Little Heroes

We're gathering stories of kids 12 and under making a positive impact in their communities. Friends, family, parents, guardians, and even community members can nominate a child – Visions member or not – and we’ll pick a winner to recognize and uplift their cause.

Whether it’s a monetary donation, a gift card or items to help with their cause, or even a customized logo for their project – we’ll do our best to help shine a light on what they do and help them make an impact.*

Do you know a Little Hero?

little heroes averie

Congratulations to our newest Little Hero, Averie!

Congratulations to Averie for being selected as our most recent Little Hero!

Averie created the "New Beginnings Backpack Program", which works closely with another organization, A Place to Call Home, to provide age-appropriate backpacks for children transitioning with their mothers from homelessness into a new life situation. Averie spent a year and a half filling these backpacks with books, toys, activity books, crayons, blankets, security blankets, stuffed animals, family games, and more! She uses her own birthday money to buy the backpacks and fill them.

Kirby celebrated her amazing accomplishments by gifting her a horse Lego set and a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card.

Helping your Little Hero grow with Kirby Kangaroo

Did you know that Visions has a Youth Program? From birth to teens and beyond, we're here to help your child grow financially fit.

Kids 12 and under can join the Kirby Kangaroo Club, a program that comes with a youth savings account, special gifts for deposits over $5, and access to the Kirby Kangaroo site, packed with stories, games, coloring pages, and jokes. We even mail them a quarterly newsletter, birthday cards, and host special youth activities all year long!

Best of all, a Kirby Kangaroo account is a fully fledged Visions account. As your child grows up, they'll have access to everything Visions has to offer – checking accounts, debit cards, and a whole lot more.
