The Two Stages of our Youth Accounts
It’s never too early to get started with a financial foundation.
With a First account, young children can focus on the very basics of saving. Make sure to bring your child with you to open their account, where they will receive our new member package, including a savings passbook, a coin saver, and a member identification card commemorating their very first financial steps!
Your child will also receive special birthday cards, toys for making monthly in-person deposits of $5 or more**, and our Saving First quarterly newsletter chock full of fun financial games and facts!

How do I open an account with my child?
To open a youth account, stop by a local branch with your child’s:
- Full name
- Address
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
As the parent/legal guardian, you must also be joint on the account.

What if I have multiple children? Can I open accounts for all of them?
The more the merrier! As long as your children are 17 and under, they can benefit from the resources our youth accounts provide, and further qualify for the $25 new member bonus.****

Do I have to bring my child/ren with me to open their account?
No, you can open an account for your child without them being physically present. However, if you do bring your child, it will be a great experience for them to learn what their credit union looks like, and to meet the staff at their local branch. New members ages 12 and under who are physically present at the time of opening their account will also receive a savings passbook, coin saver, and member identification card.

What if I have older children?
We’re here for them, too. Our Forward account is structured toward the needs of 18-25 years olds. They can experience great perks like our Budget Saver and First Auto Loan Bonus. Plus, through the month of August, they can earn a $25 new member bonus, too!
