Visions FCU employees receiving Leadership BERKS awardReading, PA – Two Visions Federal Credit Union employees were honored at the Leadership Berks Graduation Event on June 5th.

Of the employees, Lindsay Kennedy, branch manager, was inducted into the Leadership Berks society, and Trish Shermot, Government Relations and Engagement Officer, received the Art of Leadership Legacy Award on behalf of Visions.

The Art of Leadership award is presented to a business or nonprofit organization that has demonstrated significant contributions to improve the quality of life and leave a legacy for the Greater Reading community through community engagement and professional development opportunities for employees. The award also recognizes support for Leadership Berks and talent retention initiatives, as well as charitable support for area organizations.

The Leadership Berks Program identifies current and emerging leaders and provides them training on best practices in nonprofit management and board governance, as well as issues-based community orientation. The program provides leadership skill development that translates in the workplace and the boardroom, thus contributing to the economic vitality of the Greater Reading community. Leadership Berks is sponsored by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and held at Alvernia University.
