Reading, PA – Visions Federal Credit Union donated $7,500 to Centro Hispano Daniel Torres on July 9, 2020.
The donation is part of the Visions Cares grant program and will be used to continue funding their Healthy Start Senior Food Program for the rest of the year. This program, part of the Mami Angie's Casa De La Amistad Senior Center, serves over 100,000 meals to seniors each year. Without this donation, the program would unfortunately be canceled.
Visions' Director of Impact and Engagement, Lizette Epps, was on site to deliver the donation. "The Centro Hispano is the cultural hub for our Latino population in the Greater Reading area and we are proud to help support the efforts that our community partner is making to ensure that the most vulnerable in our city are cared for," she said.
