Kevin Porter, AIF®, CSRIC®
Wealth Management Advisor
Kevin Porter is a seasoned financial professional providing personalized financial advice to individuals, families, and businesses for over 25 years. He is a partner in the Chenango Commons Office, an advisor group of Visions Investment Services. The Chenango Commons Office represents over 40 years of combined experience serving the community with advice and financial literacy.
Kevin specializes in developing and implementing accumulation, distribution, and protection strategies. Through a comprehensive financial planning approach, he creates long-term relationships with his clients by providing education regarding their financial situation and available investment options. Kevin helps his clients make sound decisions to help them pursue their financial goals.
He has been awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies™. The AIF® designation signifies a specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and marks the culmination of an experience prerequisite, a rigorous course study and successful completion of a final examination, a signed Code of Ethics & Conduct Standards agreement, and a commitment to annual continuing education.
Kevin has also been awarded the CHARTERED SRI COUNSELOR® designation from the College for Financial Planning. This program provides experienced financial advisors and investment professionals with a foundation knowledge of the history, definitions, trends, portfolio construction principles, fiduciary responsibilities, and best practices for sustainable, responsible, and impact (SRI) investments.
Kevin was born and raised in Ithaca, NY and completed his education there. Additionally, he maintains various securities registrations, held through LPL Financial, and insurance licenses in several states. He is also certified to offer the New York State Partnership for Long-Term Care Insurance.
Currently, he serves on the advisory board for the Visions Investment Services Community Impact Fund, a charitable fund supporting local causes, as well as is a member of the Greater Binghamton and Tioga County Chambers of Commerce. Kevin also served as past treasurer of the National Association of Life Underwriters in Ithaca, NY.
Kevin is an avid sports fan and traveler. He enjoys golf in the spring and summer and attending Notre Dame football games in the fall. Kevin moved to the Southern Tier in 2002 and resides in Endicott.
Wealth Management Specialist
As an experienced financial professional with over 25 years of industry knowledge, Jim Campone seeks to provide financial guidance to individuals, families, and organizations to help assist them in pursuing their individualized financial goals. He has spent the last 5 years working specifically with credit unions in building comprehensive wealth management services for their membership.
Jim follows a fundamental planning process that focuses on 4 key elements. First, seeking to understand individual goals and experiences – learning what is important to each individual and organization and how they would like to reach their goals. Second, working collaboratively to develop a plan or roadmap to guide the journey and measure the progress of the plan. Third, implementing the strategy and adjusting to meet changes in desired outcomes. Last and most importantly, maintaining a frequent level of communication to continue to share information, address any questions or concerns, and provide continuous updates for the plan.
Jim has a lot of passion and takes joy in helping others pursue their financial goals. In his spare time Jim enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, golf, and spending time cooking for his family.
LPL Registered Administrative Associate
Melissa Titus is a highly experienced financial professional. Prior to joining the Glen Wood Financial Group in 2011, she accumulated 6 years of banking experience with our parent, Visions Federal Credit Union. Prior to that, she had worked for 9 years in retail management. In total, she has over 16 years of experience in financial services between banking and management.
In 2013, Melissa obtained her Series 63 and Series 7 securities licenses and has been continuously registered with LPL Financial since that time.
In 2020, through the Glen Wood Financial Group acquisition, Melissa re-joined Visions and became a critical member of the Chenango Commons Office. With a strong attention to detail and efficiency, Melissa oversees all administrative and operational needs of the team and our clients. She builds incredibly strong service relationships and is greatly respected and appreciated in all of her roles.
She has A.A.S. degrees in Financial Services and Hotel & Restaurant Management, an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts, and has completed LPL Financial's AdminU Degree Program*.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys reading and spending time with her friends and family.
Melissa is a lifelong resident of Broome County and resides in Endicott.
*AdminU is a training program designed to enable LPL Financial Advisor administrative staff to better support their office in the areas of client services, office management, leadership, operations, and marketing. There are three degree curriculums - Specialist, Associate, and Bachelor - that each represent a different level of knowledge and skills.
Georgette R. Curay
Georgette Curay is an accomplished professional providing services and support to a variety of businesses and industries over the last 20 years.
Georgette earned her Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Business Management from St. Leo University (St. Leo, Florida). She has broad business experience with specialties in insurance, bookkeeping and tax services.
In her spare time, Georgette enjoys shopping, cooking and spending time with her dogs and family. She recently moved to the Southern Tier from Florida and resides in Harpursville with her husband John.
