Thank You Very Much

Summit a Big Success

thank you

"Be Kind, Every Day, Every Time, Every One #Kindness365" was the theme of our 16th annual middle school Summit. Attendees were reminded of the potential power of even the smallest positive action and encouraged to make a commitment to act in ways that are only kind. Our presenters provided 900 middle school students with the confidence, motivation and skills to be leaders in making schools safer, more enjoyable places for everyone.

This ongoing initiative wouldn't be possible without the collaboration and donations of community partners. Perhaps most importantly, we would like to recognize the contributions of the 125 high school students who volunteered as mentors, as well as our school presentations from nine different districts. We would like to express our gratitude to Visions Federal Credit Union as our main sponsor. "Visions understands the value of education and giving back, whether it's for our members or the broader areas we serve. Sponsoring this event is part of our commitment to improving the lives of those in our communities," said Tim Strong, Visions.

Also, United Way of Northern New Jersey for its continued support; Sparta High for allowing us to use its auditorium; and Sussex Tech's Culinary Arts program, which provided lunch for all.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the businesses, organizations and schools that helped to ensure the Summit's success: Advocare Pediatrics, Anthony Franco's Pizza, Sam's Club, Kiwanis Club of Sparta, RoNetco Supermarkets, Stop and Shop, Selective Group Foundation – Selective Insurance Company, Sparta Middle School, Sussex County Superintendents Roundtable Association, Sussex County Administrators and Supervisors Association and Windy Brow Farms.

We thank the administrators and staff, particularly the Summit advisers, of each school for their involvement, because it is only with their support that real, lasting change can be made.
