Employees, and family members, of credit unions in or around the Southern Tier volunteered their time to get a little dirty for a good cause! Pictured above are some of the nearly 15 volunteers who worked in the CHOW Farm, located in Conklin, on May 7th. The group had such a great time that a second evening of gardening was held on May 14th!
Volunteers enjoyed planting, weeding, composting, watering, mowing, tilling the soil, and learning about gardening from Jim Dunn, CHOW Farm volunteer.
The anticipated bounty from the CHOW Farm will be used to feed members of our community.
