The Association for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment’s CEO, Robert Hanye, accepted a generous donation from VISIONS FCU in honor and memory of their colleague, Jack Houseknect. Mr. Houseknect served on A.V.R.E.’s Board for three years. He chaired the A.V.R.E compensation committee and was the Board Vice-Chair at the time of his death. He was a devoted advocate of the A.V.R.E mission. The donation was comprised of a $5,000 donation from the Visions Federal Credit Union and numerous personal donations from co-workers and business associates.
Jayne Searles, assistant vice president of Marketing at Visions Federal Credit Union said "A.V.R.E is a non-profit organization that serves people in the communities we also serve. They provide options for people with sustained and severe vision loss from infants to seniors that our communities might not have if it weren't for their organization. Visions is proud to support an organization that does so much for our community, and that Jack was so passionate about."
