On Friday, November 30th, Visions Federal Credit Union presented the Board of The Magic Paintbrush Project with an extraordinary donation in honor of Jack Houseknecht. Daniel Norton, President of The Magic Paintbrush Project accepted the memorial of $5,750 stating that the impact of Jack's support and encouragement will be honored for many years.
"The Magic Paintbrush Project exists because people cared to get involved. In 2007, Jack Houseknecht said "Yes" to an idea and then he gave the idea a vision and a mission. As one of the founding board members of Life Is Washable, Inc., Jack gave life to The Magic Paintbrush Project." stated Jennifer O'Brien, Executive Director. "As a banker, the realm of the special needs world was new to Jack. While we had many great big ideas, having a real business sense, and tackling the tasks of creating an organization took leadership, and a team that could really work together. Jack was our amazing "coach". His sense of humor, sense of accountability and hard work brought balance to "The Project". His coaching enabled us to steward the community's investment and serve thousands of special needs families. We can never say thank you enough for Jack and to Visions Federal Credit Union for the encourgaement to invest in dreams and truly serve."
