Benefits
-
Checks Provide Instant Record
When you write a check, it is automatically recorded on a carbonless duplicate. This convenient feature insures accuracy in record keeping.
-
Free Checks with VisionsDirect Checking
Members with VisionsDirect Checking may receive up to one (1) free order of TAN checks or one (1) half-price order of COMMUNITY PRIDE checks per 12 month period. Subsequent orders will be charged the current cost, as billed by the check supplier. These costs are subject to change. Check Printing charges will be applied to any VisionsDirect checking account that received “free” checks in any 90-day period prior to no Direct Deposit going in the account.
-
Easy to Read Statements
Statements show any transactions that have occurred during the month with separate summaries by transaction type.
-
Cancelled Checks not Returned
Rather than returning cancelled checks, we microfilm them for permanent record keeping. This cost saving procedure helps us pass the savings on to you in the form of higher dividends on your VisionsPlus account.
-
Protection Against Check "Bouncing"
We make it very difficult to "bounce" a check by establishing two solid back-ups. The first line of protection is your Readi-Reserve (if you have one). If you write a check for more than your balance, we'll advance you an automatic loan sufficient to cover the check, in increments of $100, up to your established limit.
If you are without a Readi-Reserve, or your limit is used up, overdrafts can also be covered by funds automatically transferred from your primary Share Money Manager Account to your checking account. (Transfers from shares may not exceed six per month). And, if you qualify, No Bounce Checking is available - for details, contact the Credit Union.
-
ATM/PAT/VisionLine/MAT Access
Checking funds are available 24 hours-a-day through the Credit Union ATMs, Phone Access Teller, VisionLine, and Member Access Terminals.
-
VISA Check Card
The perfect complement to your checking account. Use wherever Visa is accepted instead of writing a check. Available upon request*.
*Check Card requires one transaction per month to avoid $1 service charge.
